Grover Linaweaver
Training Director / Certified Instructor
Grover has over 30 years of distinguished law enforcement experience. His expertise ranges from basic firearm safety to advanced tactical training. This depth of knowledge ensures a professional and disciplined approach to all aspects of training.
Craig Doughty
Range Manager / Certified Instructor
Craig is a retired federal law enforcement supervisor with two decades of experience. He is a licensed law enforcement and civilian firearms instructor in numerous states. He is a leader, instructional expert, and actively participated in emergency response teams.
Ray Holcomb
Lead Instructor – Private Lessons
Ray, a former law enforcement officer and certified firearms trainer, has over 30 years’ experience in educating and training FBI agents as well as other security services. Ray is highly qualified and can teach all skill levels. He is a published author and attorney.
Marqus McKie
Utah Concealed Carry Instructor
Marqus is a retired Army veteran with over 10 years of firearm training experience. He has a wealth of knowledge from fundamentals firearm instruction to private security training. He has four years of certification as a UTAH CFP instructor and is a certified NRA pistol and rifle instructor. Marques is also known for his approachable teaching style and focus on safety under pressure.
John Davis
Distinguished Instructor
John has been teaching classes at TSS since the training center opened in 2017. He retired from the federal bureau of prisons after 22 years of service specializing in high-risk roles. He is a leader in the classroom and teaches a variety of classes. He was instrumental in developing the youth gun safety series. He brings a wealth of experience to all aspects of training. John is certified in NRA pistol, rifle, and shotgun.
Miguel Lopez
Instructor
Firearms instructor Mike Lopez is a military veteran and retired law enforcement officer with over 30 years of experience. He was a certified law enforcement firearms instructor providing firearms training for domestic and foreign law enforcement officers. Mike teaches basic firearm safety classes to more advanced training. He also teaches private lessons. Mike is fluent in Spanish.
